Company parties Employee discounts Training & development Flyway Brewing - Bartender The bartender's primary role is to prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. It is also their responsibility to maintain the cleanliness of the bar area, restock beer and wine, replenish bar caddies, prepare ingredients (such as syrups and compotes), and—most importantly—ensure guests have a pleasant experience. Bartenders will be held accountable for cash and credit card transactions, as well as the bar drawer. They may also assist with cocktail creation and innovation. Additionally, bartenders are responsible for taking guests' food orders, making recommendations for wine/beer pairings, and following the restaurant's Steps of Service as closely as possible. Bartender Job Responsibilities Provide a pleasant experience to customers Serve drinks while maintaining a clean and sanitary bar area Ensure the proper detail and presentation of each beverage or order Prepare ingredients by following recipes, labeling and dating items, and rotating stock using the FIFO method Check in beer, liquor, and wine orders when a manager is not present—ensuring each product on the invoice is accounted for Demonstrate strong leadership in high-pressure situations while maintaining a calm demeanor Maintain cleanliness by completing assigned checklists: Opening Checklist Closing Checklist Weekly Cleaning Duties Listen to customer concerns, suggestions, and feedback—and involve management as needed to ensure guests feel heard and appreciated Participate in or contribute to continuing education on spirits, beer, and wine Perform other duties as assigned Bartender Prerequisites Knowledge of products, with emphasis on our fresh beer offerings, spirits, and cocktails Decision-making skills Excellent customer service Strong interpersonal and communication skills Teamwork mentality Leadership and adaptability High energy and multitasking ability Must have reliable transportation Weekend and holiday availability required
