Job Description

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while creating a welcoming, lively saloon experience. This role requires excellent customer service, knowledge (or willingness to learn) of wine and draft beer, and an ability to maintain a clean, well-organized bar. Because all staff are cross-trained, the Bartender will also learn to assist with cooking and waitstaff duties. Beverage Service
  • Mix, garnish, and serve drinks according to recipes and guest requests.
  • Provide recommendations and share knowledge of beverages and specials.
  • Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
  • Monitor alcohol consumption and practice responsible serving. Customer Experience
  • Create a fun, welcoming saloon atmosphere through friendly, attentive service.
  • Engage with guests to enhance the historic, social feel of the saloon.
  • Handle guest concerns quickly and professionally. Bar Operations & Safety
  • Stock, organize, and rotate bar inventory (spirits, beer, mixers, garnishes, glassware).
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bar area, tools, and glassware.
  • Follow ABC regulations and saloon policies for alcohol service.
  • Manage tabs, process cash and card transactions, and balance sales at the end of shifts. Collaboration & Cross-Training
  • Work closely with waitstaff and cook to ensure smooth, timely service.
  • Learn and assist with kitchen prep, plating, and food running as needed.
  • Jump in to support floor service during peak times. Other Duties
  • Assist with restocking deliveries and organizing supplies.
  • Help set up for events or special promotions.
  • Report equipment or supply issues to management. Qualifications
  • Must be 21+ years old.
  • Must hold a valid California Food Handler's Card and ABC Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire).
  • Previous bartending experience preferred, but training available.
  • Knowledge of classic cocktails, draft beer, and bar operations a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and outgoing, people-focused personality.
  • Ability to multitask and stay composed in a lively environment.
  • Team player willing to cross-train and support kitchen and waitstaff.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for a minimum of 5 hours.
Schedule :
Part-time; hours vary depending on business needs.
Pay:
$17.00 per hour
