This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-volume service, leads by example behind the bar, and understands both elevated guest experience and operational efficiency. The Lead Bartender will work closely with ownership and management to maintain service standards, support staff development, and help drive a polished, energetic atmosphere. Responsibilities Lead daily operations during service Maintain high standards of hospitality, cocktail execution, and consistency Oversee bartenders and barbacks during shifts Manage opening and closing procedures Ensure cleanliness, organization, and prep standards are maintained Monitor inventory, pars, and ordering needs Assist with cocktail development and seasonal menu updates Train and mentor bar staff on recipes, technique, service standards, and POS procedures Maintain speed and composure during high-volume service Handle guest concerns professionally and proactively Work collaboratively with kitchen and floor teams to ensure smooth service flow Ensure compliance with all ABC laws, safety standards, and house policies Qualifications 3+ years bartending experience in a high-volume cocktail bar or upscale hospitality environment Prior leadership or management experience preferred Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and guest-relations skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays Food Handler and Responsible Beverage certifications preferred Ideal Candidate Calm under pressure Strong floor presence and leadership instincts Passionate about cocktails, hospitality, and culture Detail-oriented with strong standards Positive attitude with team-first mentality Understands both elevated service and efficient volume execution Compensation Competitive hourly + tips Management growth opportunities Staff education and tasting opportunities Creative input on cocktail programming
