Non-Exempt Position Summary:

The Barback plays a critical support role to the bar team, ensuring bartenders are set up for success by keeping the bar clean, organized, and fully stocked. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude in a high-end, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Stock and restock all bar supplies, including liquor, mixers, ice, glassware, garnishes, and tools. Assist in setting up and breaking down the bar before and after service. Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, backbar, and storage areas. Wash and polish glassware throughout the shift. Remove trash and recycling from the bar area regularly. Support bartenders during service by anticipating needs and ensuring efficiency. Assist with deliveries and proper storage of all bar-related inventory. Uphold all sanitation, safety, and hygiene standards.

Qualifications:

6+ months in a high-volume hospitality or bar setting preferred. Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs, 160lbs with assistance (full beer keg) and be on the feet for long periods. Strong communication and time management skills. Punctual, detail-oriented, and team-first mentality. Interest in learning cocktail techniques and beverage knowledge. Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
