The Barback plays a crucial role in supporting bartenders and ensuring that the bar operates smoothly. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about customer service and eager to learn more about the art of bartending. Responsibilities Assist bartenders in preparing and serving drinks efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces. Stock and replenish supplies such as liquor, garnishes, and ice as needed. Help with bussing tables and clearing empty glasses or dishes from the bar area. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and ensuring their needs are met. Support banquet events by setting up bars, serving drinks, and breaking down after events. Operate cash registers for transactions when necessary. Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Qualifications Previous experience in hospitality or food service is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Basic knowledge of bartending techniques is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential. Must be able to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
