Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Barback, where you'll be the backbone of a lively and efficient bar operation. In this energetic role, you'll support bartenders by ensuring the bar area is stocked, clean, and ready for service. Responsibilities Restock bar supplies including beverages, garnishes, glassware, and utensils to ensure smooth service flow Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including wiping down surfaces, washing glassware, and sanitizing equipment in accordance with food safety standards Assist with bussing tables and clearing empty dishes to keep the dining area tidy and inviting Support bartenders by preparing basic beverage ingredients and handling minor food prep tasks as needed Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed during meal preparation and service Help with dishwashing duties to maintain hygiene standards in the kitchen and bar areas Provide friendly in-person customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and supporting their needs promptly Skills Basic food handling is highly desirable Strong cleaning skills with an eye for detail to uphold sanitation standards Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and POS transactions using systems like SpotOn Knowledge of beverage preparation techniques and bar setup procedures Familiarity with kitchen tasks such as knife skills Excellent communication skills for effective guest relations and team collaboration Previous experience in barback roles enhances your ability to deliver exceptional guest services Understanding of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices in hospitality settings This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow within the hospitality industry.
