Barback Osa Rooftop Pasadena, CA 91101 $200 a day - Part-time $200 a day - Part-time Job Overview We are seeking an energetic, proactive, and detail-oriented Barback to join our vibrant hospitality team! In this role, you will be the backbone of our bar operations, ensuring our bartenders have everything they need to deliver an exceptional guest experience. Your hustle, organizational skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will keep the energy moving and the drinks flowing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your dedication and professionalism in a dynamic rooftop environment that values teamwork and premium hospitality.
Duties Stock & Restock:
Efficiently manage inventory levels during high-volume shifts, including restocking spirits, wines, craft beers, ice, glassware, and garnishes.
Prep Work:
Batch syrups, juices, and specialty garnishes with precision and consistency prior to and during service.
Maintain Cleanliness:
Keep the bar area, wells, and backbar pristine and organized in strict compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
Glassware Management:
Promptly collect, wash, and restock glassware to ensure bartenders never run short during peak hours.
Keg & Wells Support:
Change kegs swiftly and maintain the organization of liquor storage areas and walk-in coolers.
Team Collaboration:
Assist bartenders and the floor team with clearing tables, wiping down surfaces, and anticipating operational needs before they arise.
System Support:
Assist with basic POS entry or restocking updates via systems like Toast POS when required.
Qualifications Experience:
Proven experience as a Barback in a high-volume restaurant, busy lounge, or fine dining environment is highly preferred.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift heavy objects (such as kegs, ice buckets, and liquor crates) and stand or move for long periods in a fast-paced environment.
Efficiency & Urgency:
Strong time-management skills with a hustle mentality; ability to prioritize tasks under pressure without sacrificing safety.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with standard bar tools, glassware types, and major spirit/beer categories. A passion for natural wines, craft beer, or artisanal spirits is a major plus.
Tech Savvy:
Familiarity with modern restaurant tech (like Toast POS) is advantageous.
Safety Standards:
Thorough knowledge of food safety regulations, proper hygiene, and safe lifting/handling practices.
Team First Mindset:
An energetic team player who takes pride in behind-the-scenes execution and maintains professionalism in every interaction.
