Barback and Support

We have an exciting opportunity for a support/barback position and are hiring immediately! This is a position with a unique work life balance, with most 8 hour shifts ending before 5 pm Monday - Friday! We are also closed for most federally observed holidays! Green Acre is a café, breakfast and lunch restaurant, bottle-shop and event space in the La Jolla/UTC area located on a biotech/life-science professional campus. While we are open to the public and take great pride in our hospitality, we are a fast casual restaurant mainly catering to our tenants. Every day, we use our own blend of organic Nicaraguan and Guatemalan espresso beans to produce one of the best artisanal coffee experiences in the area, and are backed with an incredible kitchen producing only from scratch food and bakery items. While starting pay begins at $18.00/hour, there is an equal tip pool share between all hourly employees based on the hours you work each week. We believe the front and back of the house are one team and should be treated as such! Additionally, benefits are provided to qualifying full-time employees. We are a fast growing company with tremendous potential for upward mobility, with resources and training provided by industry veterans in all fields.

General Responsibilities:

A core position in our day-to-day service, supporting the team in many different aspects. Set up and break down of dining room Table maintenance during service Upkeep of glassware and silverware Running food from kitchen to the guest, offering table side additions Assistance with buffet set up for events
