Offering 24 spirited and handsomely appointed guest rooms and suites, all situated amongst a tranquil Mediterranean-style courtyard, sparkling pool area and a delightful garden café, cocktail bar and lobby lounge, Palihouse Santa Barbara has been designed to appeal to the most astute tastemakers and discerning travelers.

POSITION PROFILE

The Bartender brings the energy behind the bar at Palihouse Santa Barbara - crafting well-made drinks and building the kind of rapport that turns first-time guests into regulars. You'll bring precision and personality to everything from morning espresso to late-night cocktails.

THE TASK AT HAND

Craft drinks for every occasion — mimosas at brunch, chef's-tasting-menu pairings, or espresso to-go. Create a warm, laidback atmosphere and keep the bar tidy and welcoming for guests and staff alike. Learn our steps of service, products, menu, and systems inside and out. Restock, replenish, and prep the bar as needed. Communicate openly with bar and restaurant managers on customer feedback. Collaborate with hotel staff to make sure overnight guests know about exclusive bar offerings and promotions.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required 1 year of related experience as a Bartender in a high-quality full-service or fast-casual environment. Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks, with the ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean. Clear communication skills, fluent in English, with basic arithmetic for tabs and inventory. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Standing and walking throughout the shift, with the ability to lift up to 30lbs and carry bar stock as needed.
