You will be in charge of taking customer orders, mixing a variety of traditional and creative cocktails, making beer and wine recommendations, and keeping the bar area clean and sanitary at all times. This position requires an energetic person with excellent organizational skills and a customer-first attitude. if you enjoy mixing and serving drinks, meeting new people, and working in a fast-paced environment!

Compensation:

$15.50 - $16 hourly

Responsibilities:

Verify customers' identification age to ensure they are of legal age and provide alcoholic drinks in compliance with federal, state, municipal, and corporate rules and regulations Restock and clean as instructed, including side work for opening and closing of the restaurant Mix and deliver drinks to customers including alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties of wine, beer, liquor, and mixed drinks Receive payments and settle patron checks and tabs, as well as correctly record daily sales totals in point of sale system Order necessary bar supplies, stock and keep track of all wine, liquor, and beer inventories as well as maintain a full supply of glassware and notify management of any shortages When business deems necessary, bartenders are responsible for Serving Dining Room tables, Bar tables, and Outdoor Front Sidewalk tables. Taking orders, making drinks, clearing dishes, and sanitizing tables.

Qualifications:

This role requires a strong emphasis on putting the patron first and providing exceptional customer service Displays impeccable time management and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and other team members Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification Prior food service industry experience is highly desired 6 months or more of previous bar experience. Serving experience is a plus as well. About Company Hotel Sutter is a historical building located in the heart of downtown Sutter Creek. We have a restaurant serving indoors, on our balcony, as well as out front on our Pallet Cafe. We have 2 bars, one located in our lobby and another downstairs known as our Copper Room. We also have a fully functioning 21-room hotel on our 2nd and 3rd floors. We pride ourselves on providing the best service with a smiling face to our many local guests as well as our year-round tourists.
