We're more than just a bar. SIPS is a welcoming community space where neighbors gather over coffee in the morning, wine and beer in the evening, and great conversation all day long. Our space reflects that — and so does our team. The Role As a Part-Time Bartender , you'll be an important part of creating a fun, welcoming, and knowledgeable experience for our guests. You'll be responsible for serving beer and wine, helping guests navigate our rotating selection, preparing simple drinks, and keeping the bar running smoothly. This position is approximately 16-20 hours per week , with opportunities for additional shifts and events.

Availability requirements:

Must have Sunday and Monday availability Additional flexible shifts throughout the week Availability for occasional events, live music, etc. Responsibilities Pour and serve beer and wine with consistency and care Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive service to every guest Learn and confidently speak about our rotating beer and wine selections Assist guests with recommendations based on their preferences Assist with preparing paninis and other light food items Operate the POS accurately and efficiently Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning, restocking, and cash-out procedures Help create a fun and welcoming atmosphere for our neighborhood guests Work collaboratively with the entire SIPS team to uphold our quality and hospitality standards Ideal Candidate Strong knowledge and interest in beer and wine Passionate about hospitality and creating genuine connections with guests Friendly, confident, and comfortable engaging with customers Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Responsible, dependable, and punctual Comfortable working independently while also being a team player Able to maintain a positive attitude during busy shifts Willing to learn about our beer and wine program and rotating selections California RBS certification required or willingness to obtain Perks of Working at SIPS Competitive hourly pay plus tips Employee discounts on coffee, wine, beer, food, and merchandise Supportive and welcoming team environment Beer, wine, and coffee educational trainings Fun events, live music, and community-focused programming Join our team and be part of Ventura's neighborhood gathering spot — where there's always a good drink, good coffee, and good company.
