The bartender is responsible for serving guests at the counter/bar area seating and making all drink tickets rang in by service staff. This is a mix of alcoholic beverages, NA beverages, and espresso-based drinks. The Huckleberry is a fast-paced, high volume brunch restaurant, bakery, and cafe. Shift times range from 7:30am-3:30pm. Responsibilities Prepare a variety of beverages accurately and efficiently, ensuring consistency and quality. Bartender aims to have drinks made within 3 minutes of being rang in. Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner to enhance their overall experience, providing full service in the bar area. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. Maintain clean glassware by handwashing in bar triple sink. Adhere to daily closing side work duties as noted. Restock bar supplies, monitor inventory levels, and communicate needs to management promptly. Make batch recipes (i.e. bloody mary mix, mixer concentrates) Work alongside and in sync with other bartender on shift, sharing responsibilities and maintaining clear communication. Skills Proven experience as a bartender and/or barista in full-service settings preferred. Proficiency with espresso machine Strong knowledge of POS systems (we use Toast); basic math skills for cash handling are essential. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage diverse guests confidently. Ability to multitask efficiently while managing time effectively during busy shifts. Ability to work at a quick pace and keep up with flow of service. Familiarity with food safety standards, food handling procedures, and responsible alcohol service practices. Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation to support a lively hospitality environment.
