Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Dietary Aide. This role involves providing essential support within assisted living, nursing homes, or healthcare facilities, assisting with food service, meal preparation, and maintaining high standards of sanitation and safety. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling, customer service, and dietary departments, with a strong focus on ensuring residents' nutritional needs are met in a respectful and efficient manner. Responsibilities Assist with food preparation and meal service in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards Serve meals to residents or patients in a courteous and professional manner Support with food handling, sanitation, and cleaning duties to maintain a hygienic environment Help with bussing tables and clearing plates after meals Follow proper food safety protocols during all stages of food handling and serving Assist with dietary documentation and ensure accurate record-keeping for meal delivery Support the dietary team in maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas Provide excellent customer service to residents, patients, or clients by addressing their needs promptly and courteously Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth operations Requirements Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures Experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary activities is advantageous Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate attitude towards residents or patients Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Basic understanding of dietary requirements and dietetics is beneficial Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting as needed Prior dietary aide or food service experience is a plus but not mandatory This position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the well-being of residents while developing valuable skills in healthcare support and food service operations.
Pay:
$21.61 - $26.02 per hour
