Bartender

At Club River Oaks, the Bartender is a polished hospitality professional who curates exceptional beverage experiences for our Members and their guests. This role extends beyond mixing drinks — it is about creating an atmosphere of refinement, warmth, and personalized service. The Bartender upholds the club's standards of excellence while delivering consistent, high-quality cocktails, wine service, and beverage hospitality with discretion and professionalism. Essential Responsibilities Greet Members and guests warmly, recognizing and addressing them by name whenever possible Prepare and serve classic and contemporary cocktails with precision, consistency, and presentation excellence Maintain expert knowledge of spirits, wines, craft beers, and non-alcoholic offerings Offer thoughtful beverage recommendations that complement dining selections Uphold proper wine service techniques and responsible alcohol service standards Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area at all times Accurately enter orders into the POS system and manage tabs efficiently Monitor Member satisfaction and anticipate needs proactively Maintain discretion and professionalism in all Member interactions Aid with beverage service for club events, banquets, and special functions Participate in inventory management, bar prep, and closing procedures Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards Qualifications Previous bartending experience required; fine dining, luxury hotel, or private club experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, wine fundamentals, and premium spirits Ability to maintain composure and efficiency in a high-volume, high-standard environment Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Professional appearance consistent with Club River Oaks standards Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and club events Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs Core Competencies Elevated hospitality mindset Attention to detail and presentation Beverage craftsmanship Member-first service philosophy Professional discretion and confidentiality Strong teamwork and communication Consistency and precision under pressure Schedule & Availability Flexible schedule required, including weekends and holidays.
