• Prepare drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems.

Anticipate your guest's needs. Follow the half-full rule when offering another drink. Be alert of guest signals (raising a hand, making eye contact, etc.), and acknowledge the guest to let them know the bartender will be right with them. Learn guests' names, occupations and favorite drinks. This will make the property a special place for them. Welcome each guest personally within 30 seconds. Communicate with guests using clear and enthusiastic words, tone and body language at all times. Make guests feel appreciated through bartender's actions. Work as a team with all personnel to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service. Work with others to keep all areas cleaned and stocked to company standards at all times. Mix, garnish and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks for patrons of bar and dining room following standard recipes.

• Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in agreement with company standards. Wash and sterilize stemware. Be attentive! Offer assistance before the guest has to ask for it.
• Attend to tables in the dining area.
• Set up and maintain cleanliness and condition of bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools.
• Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks, stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies. Restock bar with liquor and supplies, transport supplies to bar set-up area.
• Remove soiled wares from bar top and tables and place in designated area. Wash soiled glassware.
• Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs. Process all payment methods.
• Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.
• Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas.
• Complete closing duties.
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

This job operates behind the bar and may be working in close proximity to co-workers. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Hazards may include, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping and tripping. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Walk and stand during entire shift. Continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and wipe. Remain stationary for long periods of time. Frequently wash hands. Be able to lift up to 35 lbs. Be able to manipulate fingers, hands and arms to cut, measure, pour, serve, carry and wipe. Be able to hear and talk. Good close and distance vision and ability to adjust focus between the two. For locations which the bar is outside; Must be able to work for extended periods of time outside in temperatures above 90 degrees, / This is a non-exempt position (hourly). Days and hours of work will be determined at each location. The schedule may change to accommodate the business needs of the property. This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work. No travel is expected for this position. High school diploma or GED. Prior experience working in a restaurant, as a bartender. Basic knowledge of beer, wine and spirits, and familiarity with standard drink recipes. Must maintain an applicable state health and/or alcohol compliance card.
