Barback (21+ only) - Kava Bar Night Shift Kava Me Krazy Jensen Beach, FL Job Details Part-time 14 hours ago Benefits Paid training Employee discount Qualifications Teamwork Food running Bar setup Cleaning messes in dining areas Full Job Description The Barback is a vital support role within the kava bar, responsible for ensuring kavatenders have everything they need to provide excellent service to guests. The barback keeps the bar stocked, clean, and organized, helps maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere, and supports daily operations to keep service running smoothly. Since we do sell products that require employees to be 21 to serve we also require barbacks to be 21+ as well.
Current position:
Wednesday 7pm-3am and Sunday 6pm-2am Bar Support & Stocking Restock kava, tea, botanicals, mocktail ingredients, and garnishes throughout the shift. Maintain inventory of cups, straws, napkins, utensils, and other supplies. Prepare juice/mix batches, and keep growlers, taps, and kava shells clean and ready for service. Keep bar counters, tables, sinks, and prep areas clean. Wash and restock glassware, shells, and bar tools. Empty trash as needed. Assist with end-of-shift and closing cleaning duties. Greet and assist customers when kavatenders are busy (refilling water, answering basic questions, directing to menus). Deliver orders or assist with clearing tables Support kavatenders during high-volume events (karaoke, pool tournaments, poker nights, trivia, etc.). Monitor bar area for spills, hazards, or equipment issues and address promptly. Qualifications Prior bar, restaurant or hospitality experience preferred but not required. Strong teamwork, communication, and multitasking skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, especially during events. Dependable, punctual, and able to take direction well. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Familiarity with kava, kratom, or wellness beverages is a plus.
