Job Description
The Remedy Dog Bar is a hybrid restaurant, bar, and supervised dog social yard ("The Doggio"). We operate as a team-based, shared tip-pool environment where all staff assist guests, dogs, and each other. All employees are cross-trained and may support front-of-house, back-of-house, and Doggio operations based on volume and daily needs. We are not just serving food - we are managing a social environment for both people and dogs. Employees should expect a fast-paced setting combining elements of full-service dining, quick-service efficiency, and animal care supervision.

Shift Lead / Manager on Duty Job Summary To serve the guest by providing them with a welcoming environment by ensuring complete satisfaction through superior food product, as well as quick, friendly, and superior service. Bartenders prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while maintaining bar cleanliness and assisting with guest relations. Bartenders also help monitor the Doggio and educate guests on rules and safety procedures. Duties & Responsibilities Extend a warm and friendly greeting to all guests and dogs upon arrival Explain menu items and answer product question as raised by guests Explain how the Doggio works (rules, supervision, waivers) Set up/break down the bar for the shift Take food and beverage orders and enter into POS Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers Deliver food and beverages to tables and patio areas Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and patrons Comply with all food and beverage regulations Assist guests with membership check-ins and documentation Monitor dog behavior and notify Woofaree staff of concerns Complete all side work which includes various cleaning tasks (busing tables, rolling silverware, etc.) Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any issues Properly checks ID's for any guest purchasing alcohol Maintain restaurant and table cleanliness and patio sanitation Help run drinks/food for teammates when needed Reset seating areas and assist with bussing Answer guest questions regarding dogs, menu, and events Assist in closing and opening duties Support bartenders, hosts, and Doggio staff during high volume Communicate openly, timely, and honestly with subordinates, superiors and all others about plans, progress, and problems Always be approachable, coachable and have a good positive attitude Required Skills & Abilities Must be at least 18 years of age Strong guest service personality Comfortable interacting with dogs of all sizes Ability to multitask in a loud, fast environment Team-oriented mindset Conflict-resolution skills (guest and dog situations) Physical Requirements Standing/walking for long periods Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include the following: o Walking, standing or sitting for extended periods of time. o Working outdoors in heat or cold o Exposure to barking dogs and busy patio environments Maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception needed for: o Making observations o Communicating with others o Reading and writing
