POSITION SUMMARY
Bartenders are responsible for positive guest interactions while taking, filling, and serving drinks and food to guests in an efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet guests and take drink and food orders from guests Fulfill orders accurately and in compliance with company standards, following recipes Adhere to company, state, county, and city guidelines when serving alcoholic beverages Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for alcohol purchases Process payments for items served using Point of Sale System (POS) and balance all receipts Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus and promotions Maintains accurate accounting of inventory at assigned sales location Ensure all transfers are fulfilled and without discrepancy or shortages Responsible for the completion of setup, as well as prep, opening and closing duties as assigned by Director, Manager and/or Designee Keep work area clean and organized, including storage carts and cages, coolers, and warehouse areas Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards Maintain a professional appearance Understand and be capable of ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed Performs other duties as required and/or assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
There are no supervisory responsibilities assigned to this position
QUALIFICATIONS
Willingness and drive to exceed guest expectations Must be personable, friendly and welcoming Knowledge of and ability to execute drink recipes Must be able to create and serve drinks and food in a timely manner Must maintain a well-groomed appearance and good personal hygiene standards Subject to credit and background screening
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED required Experience in bartending, concessions, or catering preferred
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Must be personable and proactive in providing guests with the highest level of customer service Ability to effectively listen and take direction from supervisor Must be able to work independently and in a team environment, interacting with multiple departments Ability to read, speak, and write English language Must be able to communicate in a clear manner with guests and teammates Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate skill in utilizing Point of Sales systems with Inventory Control.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have or obtain and maintain ServSafe training certification
