Job Description

Lourdes Noreen McKeen, a Catholic nonprofit senior living community in West Palm Beach, seeks a compassionate Bartender to support resident-centered social events. The Bartender will prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring responsible alcohol service and a welcoming, faith-consistent atmosphere. Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down bar areas, maintaining cleanliness and safety, handling transactions, and collaborating with dining, activities, and care teams. This role supports residents' social, emotional, and spiritual well-being in a mission-driven, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to residents and guests following recipes and safety guidelines Provide warm, courteous hospitality in a faith-based senior living setting Check IDs and ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with state and facility policies Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar, supplies, and service areas Monitor resident needs, noting preferences and communicating concerns to care staff as needed Set up and break down bar for events, happy hours, and special occasions Handle cash or POS transactions accurately and follow reconciliation procedures Follow infection control, safety, and sanitation standards specific to healthcare/senior living Collaborate with activities, dining, and nursing teams to support resident-centered events Participate in required trainings and uphold mission, values, and service standards Required Skills Mixology and beverage preparation POS/cash handling Customer service and hospitality Alcohol safety and ID verification Bar sanitation and cleaning Inventory and stock management Basic event and banquet service Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits Infection control and food safety basics Communication and teamwork
