MINIBAR ATTENDANT

Director of Housekeeping / Housekeeping Leadership Position Overview The Minibar Attendant is responsible for maintaining, inspecting, replenishing, and presenting guest room minibars according to the hotel's luxury service standards. The position ensures that all minibar products are properly stocked, attractively displayed, accurately inventoried, within established expiration dates, and available for guests throughout their stay. The Minibar Attendant works closely with Housekeeping and Front Office, to ensure accurate communication of minibar consumption, timely replenishment, inventory accountability, and an exceptional guest experience. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Guest Room Minibar Service Inspect assigned guest room minibars according to the daily schedule. Replenish consumed or missing minibar items according to established par levels. Maintain the approved minibar layout and presentation in every guest room. Ensure all products are clen, sealed, undamaged, and properly positioned. Check expiration and best-by-date dates during every minibar inspection. Remove expired, damaged, opened, or otherwise unsuitable products immediately. Ensure minibar refrigerators and surrounding areas are clean, organized, and presentable. Report minibar refrigerators malfunctions or maintenance concerns promptly. Respect guest privacy and follow all Do Not Disturb and room-entry procedures. Consumption & Charge Control Accurately record all minibar items consumed or removed from guest rooms. Pay particular attention to departure rooms to ensure minibar consumption is identified in a timely manner. Immediately report discrepancies, unusual consumption, missing products, or suspected posting errors to the appropriate supervisor. Maintain accurate documentation of minibar activity. Inventory Management Maintain established par levels for minibar products. Stock and organize the minibar storage area daily. Receive and verify minibar deliveries as assigned. Confirm quantities received against purchase orders, invoices, or receiving documents. Rotate products using FIFO - First In, First Out procedures. Conduct routine expiration - date inspections. Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly minibar inventories. Monitor fast-moving and slow-moving products and communicate replenishment needs to management. Inventory Variance & Loss Prevention Maintain strict accountability for all minibar inventory assigned during the shift. Report unexplained shortages, overages, damaged products, missing inventory, or unusual consumption patterns immediately. Assist management with researching inventory variances. Protect minibar products from unauthorized access, misuse, or removal. Keep minibar storerooms, cabinets, keys, access devices, and assigned inventory secured according to hotel procedures. Participate in periodic spot inventories and audits conducted by Housekeeping. Performance Expectations The Minibar Attendant is expected to: Maintain accurate inventory records. Maintain guestrooms at established minibar par levels. Minimize inventory shortages and unexplained variances. Maintain luxury presentation standards in every minibar. Demonstrate honesty, integrity, confidentiality, and accountability when handling hotel inventory and guest charges.
Pay:
$18.00 per hour
