Member & Guest Service Provide attentive, personalized service to members and guests in accordance with Athens Country Club service standards. Build positive relationships with members by recognizing preferences, anticipating needs, and creating a welcoming dining experience. Accurately take food and beverage orders, communicate special requests, and ensure timely and correct delivery of menu items. Maintain knowledge of current menus, daily specials, beverage offerings, Club events, and service procedures. Respond professionally and promptly to member and guest questions, requests, and concerns. Create a consistent and elevated dining experience through genuine hospitality and attention to detail. Dining Operations & Service Standards Prepare assigned service areas, including tables, dining rooms, service stations, and equipment, ensuring all areas are clean, organized, and ready for service. Maintain proper table settings, appearance standards, and cleanliness throughout service periods. Accurately process member charges, payments, and POS transactions while following Club procedures. Communicate effectively with culinary, beverage, and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service execution. Assist with opening, closing, side work responsibilities, and overall department cleanliness. Support Club events, tournaments, holidays, banquets, and high-volume service periods as needed. Teamwork & Professional Standards Work collaboratively with team members and leadership to provide a seamless member experience. Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and respectful approach with members, guests, and fellow employees. Follow all Club policies, service standards, responsible alcohol service guidelines, and safety procedures. Support a team environment built on accountability, communication, respect, and hospitality. Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned by Food & Beverage leadership. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of serving experience preferred. Previous experience in upscale restaurant, resort, hotel, or private club environments preferred. Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards and hospitality practices. Excellent communication, organization, and guest service skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain composure during busy service periods. Professional appearance and demeanor with a commitment to providing exceptional service. Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment. Weekend availability required. Morning availability preferred. Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events based on Club needs. Physical Requirements Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, including up to four hours or more during active service periods. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, balance, push, and pull during daily operations. Must be able to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment, including dining rooms, kitchens, banquet spaces, bars, outdoor areas, and pool operations. Must have sufficient hand strength and dexterity to perform service, setup, POS, administrative, and operational tasks throughout the shift. The ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays may be required based on Club events. •A completed assessment is required as part of the application process.
