Upsell menu items and suggest wine pairings or desserts to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Check in with guests regularly to ensure satisfaction, address concerns promptly, and foster positive guest relations. Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, process payments, and give correct change. Maintain cleanliness in dining areas by bussing tables efficiently and assisting with sanitation practices according to food safety standards. Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings. Proficiency with the Toast POS systems for reservations and order management. Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety regulations within the food industry. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor and the ability to build guest rapport quickly. Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest interactions. Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and inventory management. Experience with food preparation, serving techniques, bussing, and host/hostess duties is highly desirable.
