Job Description
Job description: Black Sheep is looking for an enthusiastic and highly skilled bartender to provide an excellent guest drinking experience.
Experience:
Previous Bartender service experience, ideally in volume or boutique venues. Experience in serving alcohol responsibly within the food industry environment. Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling, and basic math skills for accurate transactions. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations efficiently during peak hours. Retail math proficiency for cash handling, tipping calculations, and inventory management.Responsibilities:
Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons Prepare and serve innovative cocktails and beverages, showcasing your creativity and flair. Engage with guests to understand their preferences and recommend personalized drink options. Maintain a clean, organized bar area adhering to food safety and food handling standards. Manage POS systems such as Square POS and Toast POS efficiently for orders, payments, and cash handling. Ensure accurate cash handling and cashiering procedures while balancing registers at shift end. Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy events. Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and communicate needs to management proactively. Uphold high standards of customer service, creating a welcoming environment for all patrons. Follow all food safety protocols and beverage regulations to ensure a safe experience for guests. Interact with customers, take orders and serve drinks Assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails Check customers' identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience Ability to lift and carry light weight (up to 10 lbs) Must be able to work weekends and some holidays Skills Resume and proven working experience as a bartender Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks Volume-based bartender experience preferred Positive attitude and excellent communication skills Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean Punctuality is a must Ability to multitask on the fly Superior customer service skills Night and Weekend availability 20-30 hours weekly Great work ethic and upbeat personality Proven track record of reliability with references Must have experience using POS system comparable to Square, Toast, Clover ect. Must have a sense of urgency behind the bar and ability to multitask on the fly. Must have some volume bartending experience. Good bartenders will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers' needs and expectations.MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE TO APPLY.
Compensation includes hourly wage and tips. Must be reliable and available 17-30 hrs a week.Pay:
$5.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 17.0 - 30.0 per weekBenefits:
