Summer Bartenders & Kitchen staff

We are currently hiring for summer! All shifts. Also hiring kitchen help!! More hours and shifts will become available if desired as we head into Spring/Summer. Scheduling is based on performance and dependability. About us Flat Tire Lounge is a destination bar in Madrid, IA located right on the world-famous High Trestle Trail, only 2 1/2 miles from the High Trestle Bridge. We are customer-centric, fast-paced and fun bar with an on-site food truck, live entertainment and numerous events throughout the year. Bicyclist from all over the US and many foreign countries make it a point to stop at Flat Tire while they are experiencing the beatiful High Trestle Trail.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
• Take customer orders and provide recommendations on drink selections
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area
• Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for alcohol consumption
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
• Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
• Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries or concerns promptly

Experience:

• Previous experience working as a bartender in a catering, brewing, restaurant, or banquet setting is preferred
• Knowledge of different types of alcoholic beverages, cocktail recipes, and brewing techniques
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and cashiering duties
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members
• Basic math skills for accurately processing payments and making change

Note:

Experience in the food service industry or hospitality sector is a plus. We are looking for a skilled Bartender to join our team.
