Server/Bartender

Stardust in downtown Boise is a fine dining restaurant and craft cocktail lounge. Stardust is a showcase of exceptional cuisine, elegant surroundings, and knowledgeable, diverse staff. We are looking for an experienced front of house professional with a good knowledge base of fine dining etiquette, wine service, and high end spirits. Bartending experience is a plus. The candidate that we are looking for is a mature, team player with flexible availability. Full and Part-Time Scheduling Available.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
• Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
• Check identification to ensure legal drinking age
• Monitor customer behavior and intervene as needed to prevent overconsumption or disturbances
• Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
• Create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for customers

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a bartender or in a similar role
• Knowledge of restaurant and bar operations
• Strong sales skills to upsell and promote drink specials
• Familiarity with brewing techniques and different types of alcoholic beverages
• Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
• Proficient in bartending techniques, including mixing cocktails, pouring drinks, and garnishing beverages
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills
• Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
