Chicago Marriott Northwest (Hoffman Estates, IL 60192) Chicago Marriott Northwest is seeking a professional, high-energy Bartender with strong communication skills and a passion for hospitality. The ideal candidate will be experienced in full-service hotel or upscale bar environments and capable of delivering both classic cocktails and innovative beverage experiences. Position Overview The Bartender will be responsible for creating a welcoming bar atmosphere, engaging with guests, understanding preferences, and delivering high-quality beverage service. This role also includes recommending menu items, upselling, maintaining bar cleanliness, and supporting overall guest satisfaction. GM - Mr. Kartik Shandil +1 (305) 772-2215 Key Responsibilities Create a warm, welcoming, and professional bar environment Prepare and serve classic and signature cocktails, wine, and beer Engage with guests to recommend beverages and food pairings Maintain full knowledge of menu items and ingredients Follow proper service standards with speed and accuracy Ensure cleanliness and organization of bar and seating areas Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately Maintain inventory and assist with ordering supplies Verify legal drinking age in compliance with regulations Support development of new cocktail recipes Collaborate effectively with kitchen and service teams Qualifications 1-2+ years bartender experience (full-service hotel preferred) Strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, and beverage service Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs High school diploma or equivalent required Flexible availability (nights, weekends, holidays) Strong attention to detail and time management skills Basic math and POS/computer skills
