The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, providing attentive guest service, maintaining proper beverage and inventory controls, processing transactions accurately, and ensuring responsible alcohol service at all times. Responsibilities Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, professional, and attentive service. Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards. Check valid identification before serving alcoholic beverages and ensure all guests receiving alcohol meet applicable legal age requirements. Monitor guest alcohol consumption and follow responsible alcohol-service practices. Refuse or discontinue alcohol service when appropriate and notify management of any concerns. Accurately enter food and beverage orders into the POS system. Process cash, credit-card, room-charge, and other approved transactions accurately. Follow proper cash-handling and closing procedures. Maintain knowledge of beverages, cocktails, wines, beers, spirits, specials, and available food selections. Maintain accurate control of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and other beverage inventory. Stock and replenish liquor, beer, wine, garnishes, glassware, ice, mixers, and other bar supplies. Maintain a clean, sanitary, organized, and professional bar area. Complete required opening and closing duties. Coordinate professionally with servers, kitchen staff, banquet employees, and other Food & Beverage team members. Assist with weddings, banquets, private events, and other hotel functions as required. Report guest concerns, incidents, intoxication concerns, payment issues, or unusual situations to management. Perform additional Food & Beverage duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous bartending, restaurant, hospitality, or Food & Beverage experience preferred. Knowledge of common cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and beverage preparation. Strong customer-service and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail. Ability to handle cash and payment transactions responsibly. Must understand the importance of checking identification before serving alcohol. Must meet all applicable legal requirements for serving alcoholic beverages. Dependable, punctual, professional, and guest-focused. Previous hotel bartending experience preferred. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, weddings, and special events based on hotel business needs. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull items associated with bar operations. Ability to safely lift and transport beverage supplies, cases, glassware, and related items.
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
