Bartenders Prairie Street Brewing Co. is looking for experienced, dependable, and personable Bartenders to join our front-of-house team. Our Bartenders are responsible for creating a welcoming guest experience while providing fast, accurate, and knowledgeable beverage service. You should be comfortable working a busy bar, preparing drinks consistently, managing multiple guests and service tickets, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace throughout the shift. This is a tipped position paying $9.00/hour plus tips. What You'll Be Responsible For Greeting bar guests promptly and providing friendly, attentive service Preparing beer, wine, cocktails, and other beverages accurately and consistently Taking food and beverage orders and entering them correctly into the POS Providing timely beverage service for both bar guests and server tickets Demonstrating knowledge of Prairie Street beers, cocktails, wine, food, and specials Making recommendations and answering guest questions Monitoring guest alcohol consumption and following responsible alcohol-service practices Processing payments accurately Setting up, stocking, cleaning, and breaking down the bar Maintaining glassware, ice, garnishes, beer, liquor, wine, and other bar supplies Keeping the bar clean, organized, and guest-ready throughout service Completing opening, closing, and assigned side work Working closely with Servers, Hosts, Server Assistants, kitchen staff, and managers Following all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol-service requirements What We're Looking For Previous bartending experience in a fast-paced restaurant or bar preferred Strong beer, wine, cocktail, and general beverage knowledge Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude Ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy and consistency Strong communication and multitasking skills Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail Dependable, punctual, and committed to scheduled shifts Ability to remain professional during high-volume service Team-oriented and willing to assist wherever needed Availability for day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts Ability to stand and move throughout the shift and lift typical bar supplies Why Prairie Street Brewing Co.? $9.00/hour + tips Part-time scheduling Employee discounts Fast-paced restaurant and brewery environment Opportunity to expand beer, wine, cocktail, and hospitality knowledge Historic riverfront workplace in downtown Rockford If you are an experienced Bartender who enjoys working with guests, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in providing great service, we want to hear from you.
