Job Summary:
At Vintage Lanes, we are passionate about creating a one-of-a-kind experience blending duckpin bowling, a vibrant wine bar, and exceptional guest service. The Bartender & Bowling Attendant plays a key role in delivering this vision by combining bartending expertise with bowling lane operations. This dynamic position involves preparing beverages, assisting guests with bowling operations, maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the venue, and ensuring every guest leaves with unforgettable memories.Key Responsibilities:
Bartending Duties:
Prepare and serve charcuterie, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including wine, beer, bourbon, and mocktails. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system for transactions, ensuring accurate billing and compliance with state alcohol laws. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and restocking supplies. Follow all protocols for responsible alcohol service, including checking IDs and monitoring guest consumption.Bowling Operations:
Assist guests with using the self-service kiosks to check in and select their lanes. Troubleshoot and resolve common lane issues, including mechanical errors or guest inquiries. Maintain cleanliness and functionality of bowling lanes, ensuring they are ready for guest use. Educate guests about duckpin bowling and help create a fun, engaging atmosphere.Guest Service:
Provide friendly and professional service, addressing guest needs promptly and courteously. Assist guests in selecting wine and charcuterie pairings from our curated menu. Proactively manage guest complaints or concerns, escalating to management when necessary.Facility Maintenance:
Ensure the bar, bowling lanes, and seating areas are clean and well-maintained throughout the shift. Follow daily opening and closing checklists to prepare the venue for service. Monitor and report inventory shortages to management, including alcohol, mixers, and bowling supplies.Required Qualifications:
Proven experience as a bartender in a high-volume or upscale environment. Basic knowledge of wine, beer, and beverage preparation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs, stand for long periods, and navigate between bar and bowling lanes. Must be able to climb stairs. Must be 21 years of age or older and hold a valid Indiana Alcohol Permit (or ability to obtain one).Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in hospitality, bowling operations, or entertainment venues. Knowledge of duckpin bowling and lane maintenance. Familiarity with Square POS systems and self-service kiosks. Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills to address bowling equipment issues. Passion for creating memorable guest experiences.Job Type:
