  • 12am Our Purpose To make a difference by serving guests with genuine hospitality, great food, and expertly crafted beverages.
As a Bartender , you'll create a welcoming, energetic atmosphere while preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, serving guests at the bar, and supporting the overall guest experience within our dual-branded Applebee's/IHOP restaurant. Essential Responsibilities Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company recipes, responsible alcohol service guidelines, and applicable laws (30%). Create a welcoming, friendly, and engaging atmosphere by interacting with bar guests and delivering exceptional hospitality (20%). Take food and beverage orders and serve guests seated at the bar (15%). Complete assigned opening, closing, and side work to maintain bar readiness (15%). Prepare fruit and vegetable garnishes and stock bar supplies throughout each shift (5%). Present guest checks, accurately process cash and credit card transactions, and complete payment procedures (5%). Process employee and manager food orders as required (5%). Enter food and beverage orders accurately into the point-of-sale system and communicate with the kitchen to ensure timely service (5%). Qualifications A genuine desire to care for others while growing and learning. Positive attitude with a passion for hospitality. Ability to operate blenders, frozen beverage machines, and other bar equipment safely and efficiently. Ability to stand and remain active throughout the entire shift. Comfortable with frequent hand washing and regular immersion of hands in water. Ability to maintain cleanliness by wiping tables, bar surfaces, equipment, and picking up debris throughout the restaurant. Ability to transport glass racks, beverage cases, and other supplies weighing up to 25 pounds multiple times during a shift. Reading, writing, basic math, verbal communication, and cash-handling skills required. Flexibility to support the overall operation of the dual-branded restaurant as business needs require. Physical Requirements This position requires regular physical activity throughout each shift. Team members must be able to: Move throughout the restaurant and communicate effectively with guests and team members. Frequently handle and grasp items weighing up to 5 pounds. Occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds. Bend, stoop, reach, and stand for extended periods. Maintain adequate vision to assess cleanliness, prepare beverages accurately, and operate touchscreen point-of-sale systems. Compensation This position is paid at the applicable tip-credit minimum wage, plus tips where permitted by law.
