Taproom Managers Position Summary True North Ale Company is offering an exciting opportunity for dynamic go-getters who will create an amazing experience for our customers. We are seeking people who crave a challenge and will help to chart the course for our taproom to become a renowned destination. Duties and Responsibilities Provide outstanding service to our customers Pour an excellent beer Use our Toast point-of-sale system; open and close cash drawers, petty cash and cash out for each shift Engage new and regular customers in conversation and gather how their experience at the taproom is going and what you can do to make it better Educate our customers about our beer, beer in general, and the processes behind making it Participate in public and private special events Make retail sales of merchandise and packaged beer for off-premises consumption Consistently apply all critical procedures ensuring legal compliance Respond to and resolve all issues during service Keep the taproom clean! And most importantly, work to make the taproom a fun place to work and a fun place to visit. Qualifications Stellar work ethic Minimum one year of customer service experience and the knowledge of how to properly pour a beer Experience in the brewing industry or homebrewing preferred 21 years of age or older TIPS Certified. If not currently, you must become certified before starting work Physical Requirements Able to stand comfortably up to 8 hours at a time Able to move and lift ⅙ BBL kegs (60 lbs) solo Able to steadily carry trays of drinks and empty glasses for cleaning
