Job Purpose:
The Dining Room Server performs designated work and cleaning routines for the Dining Department and is accountable to the Executive Chef.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform defined work routines using various dietary utensils, supplies and equipment as assigned by the Executive Chef. Foloow cleaning duties as scheudled. Required to assist in cleaning work areas, dining room floor, dining room tables, and dining room chairs after each meal and occasionally after sepcial events, swep floor at the end of shift. Set up the dining room and serving residents per esatblished standars. May be required to prepare and serve coffee, tea, juice, etc. Follow reporting procedures for the following: o Supply or equipment needs. o Any damanged or loose fixtures, flooring, or tiling requiring replacement or repair. o Any unsafe or malfunctioning equipment. o Any conditions conductive to breeding insects, rodents, or other vermin. Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies. Attend in-service educational programs. Follow definied safety codes and infection control procedures. Assures work is performed in accordance with all federal, state, and facility regulations regarding sanitation and infection control. Required to perform duties efficiently in order to accomplish tasks in allotted time. Assures personal compliances to all state and federal regulations including blood borne pathogens, infection control, use of hazardous materials, and fire safety. Committed to working with residents and families to develop and implement strategies that promote person-centered care. Actively supports Wingate's commitment to providing "5 Star" service on all quality objectives with an emphasis on continual improvement and excellent customer service. Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct. Understand facility's fire and diaster plans; follow established procedures during drills and actual emergencies. Reports to the appropriate managers any known or suspected violations of policy and procedures, regulations or standards of conduct. Performs additional duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent desired. Experience is preferred, but not necessary. Ability to read, understand and follow directions and work assignments is required. Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions preferred. Ability to work flexible hours required.
Compensation:
$22-$23 per hour
