The Center for Arts at the Armory is seeking to build our team with the addition of part-time Bartenders. ing to the Bar Manager and Event Manager. An overview of the job responsibilities are provided below. Arts at the Armory is amunity arts and cultural center in Somerville, MA that has been operating since 2009 in the historic Armory building. The mission of Arts at the Armory is to provide free and affordably-priced space for arts, cultural andmunity events and programming, and tby bring diverse audiences together, enrich and transform lives, and promote the creative economy. Each year, Arts at the Armory hosts 750+ events in the Armory Performance Hall and Cafe in disciplines including music, dance, theater, literary arts, visual arts, film, circus,edy and more
Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service while serving the diverse patrons of Arts at the Armory Events. Ability to process a high number of customers in apressed timeframe with accuracy Handle credit card sales and cash transactions during/after events. Maintain the cleanliness and operations of bar areas (main floor and mezzanine) Re-stocking bar and clean up at the end of each shifts Complete accurate shift reports at the end of each shift Knowledge of local beer and wine products Ensure accurate handling of customer payments MUST be TIPS certified and fluent in best practices for alcohol serving in Massachusetts Other duties as required

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position is part-time, with frequent weekend and evening hours that vary week to week depending on the event schedule.
