Role Overview:
  • Talisa\'s on Main is seeking a charismatic and knowledgeable Wine Tender to join our team. More than just a bartender, you are the guide to our guests\' tasting experience. You will be responsible for serving premium wines, preparing signature fruit-forward garnishes, and maintaining the sophisticated, R&B-infused \"vibe\" that our community loves.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Wine Service & Education:
    Pour and describe wine selections using the \"Systematic Approach to Tasting.\" Confidently explain flavor profiles, regional histories, and food pairings.
  • Garnish & Special Prep:
    Prepare fresh garnishes (berries, citrus, seasonal fruits) and execute signature drink specials with precision and flair.
  • Wine Preservation:
    Expertly handle wine preservation systems?ensuring bottles are re-sealed and pressurized correctly to maintain peak quality.
  • Atmosphere Management:
    Actively manage the \"vibe\" by adjusting lighting and curated music playlists (R&B, Soul, Jazz) to match the energy of the room.
  • Bar Operations:
    Maintain a spotless bar top, polish glassware to a high shine, and manage the POS system with accuracy.

Opening/Closing Excellence:
Execute FOH checklists to the letter, ensuring the bar is reset and \"guest-ready\" for the next shift.
Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    1
  • 2 years of bartending experience in a wine bar, upscale lounge, or fine-dining setting preferred.
  • Wine Knowledge:
    Basic understanding of wine varietals is required. A desire to learn WSET standards is a must.
  • Hospitality:
    A \"community-first\" mindset. You should enjoy building relationships with regulars and making new guests feel at home.
