Job Description
The Bradley Inn is looking for an experienced, preferably in fine dining, Bartender for the 2026 Season and beyond. We will be scheduling interviews during the last two weeks of April. We are open May 22 beginning with Friday and Saturday nights through mid June and then again in October, we add Thursdays the end of June through September. We also host events and weddings. We are a seasonal restaurant, closing mid-October. We do open certain Saturdays in the winter for dinner service, plus for events off season. This is a great job for someone looking to make some extra money without having to work full time. You'll be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers' experiences. As the Bartender you would be responsible for setting up bar before service and closing down the bar at the end of the evening. You would also be responsible for the service of tables in the Tavern room. Responsibilities include ensuring tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus, taking orders and serving food and beverages. You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude. Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers. Note we hire a back server to assist the bartender with table service during out busiest times. We are a made from scratch, to order restaurant, not a fast food restaurant. Our dinner guests come for an experience, so generally prefer slower meals and will sit for longer periods of time, so turning tables becomes difficult after 6:00. Due to the longer seating times, multicourse meals and high end cocktails, wines and beers you will generally receive nice tips, of course as long as the dinner guests receive the service they expect. Responsibilities Prep bar for service Stocking bar and maintaining inventory Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order Attend to customers upon entrance Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages Take and serve orders Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude Issue bills and accept payment Sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place End of night cleaning of bar and the associated server station and preparing for inn guest breakfast set up Closing Management of inventory Skills Bartending experience Proven restaurant serving or waitering experience Hands-on experience in cashier duties Attention to cleanliness and safety Patience and customer-oriented approach Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude Responsible and trustworthy High school diploma is a plus but not required Hours per week will vary depending upon how many nights open month: Less than 10 10-19 20-29 Desired Skill(s): Handling cash accurately Processing credit cards Basic math calculations without a calculator Using a calculator Using Point of Sale software Making change accurately Using a digital cash register Operating a variety of equipment, such as fire extinguishers, telephones, and coffee machines
