The Shipyard Brewing Company Tasting Room is looking for part-time/full time taproom Bartenders! Shipyard Brewing Company is a family-owned brewery based in Portland for over 25 years. Our Tasting Room offers 20 rotating beers on tap including our classic, seasonal, and discovery series. Located in the Old Port, we offer delicious pizza, pretzels, salads and sandwiches while our guests can sip a flight and shop in our store with a wide selection of Shipyard merchandise. We are open year-round and available for private events and functions We pride ourselves on fresh food, hand crafted ale, exceptional service, and legendary atmosphere! Responsibilities:

Greeting, interacting with, providing guidance to, and answering questions of customers Proper pouring technique in glasses and growler Maintaining cleanliness of taproom and glassware Keeping items (snacks, coasters, growlers, glassware, etc.) stocked for operation ease Ensuring policies and liquor laws are being followed Handling cash and processing transactions through a point of sale system Working to properly market the taproom and Shipyard Brewing Co. Providing excellent customer service, ensuring that all of our customers have the best possible experience with Shipyard Brewing Co. Retail Merchandise Sales Bar menu production

Qualifications:

Outgoing personality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multi-task and remain calm in a bustling environment A love for craft beer and a working knowledge of the industry 2-3 years experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in alcohol/beverages Attention to detail, cleanliness, and ability to work independently Math skills necessary to accurately perform calculations and process payment transactions Excellent verbal communication and skills Flexible schedule including working evenings and weekends
