Bartender

Overview Join our team of dedicated bartenders. Work with Veterans of many eras, members of the American Legion , Legion Auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion as well as our community. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages ensuring consistency and quality. Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to create an inviting atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. Manage POS systems such as Clover system efficiently for order processing, cash handling, and sales transactions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards and health regulations. Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and ensure safety at all times. Handle cash register operations accurately, including cashiering duties, basic math calculations, and balancing cash drawers at shift end. Demonstrate excellent time management skills to serve multiple tables or bar stations seamlessly during busy hours. Stay informed about current beverage trends, brewing techniques, and new menu items to enhance guest experiences. Understand and gain knowledge of what the American Legion is about. Rules of gaming, membership, etc (we will educate if hired) Qualifications Proven experience as a bartender is highly preferred. Familiarity with POS systems such as Clover system for efficient order entry and sales processing. Will train. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously. Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling procedures, and responsible alcohol service regulations. Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math calculations, and drink measurements accurately. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during high-volume periods. Must be a team player with flexible work schedule. Weekend work is expected.

Pay:

$15.10 - $15.15 per hour
