Vineyard Lounge Bartender

About the Role The Vineyard Lounge Bartender plays a key role in creating an exceptional guest experience. This position combines hospitality, wine education, and retail sales. The ideal candidate is friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about wine, with a strong desire to connect with guests and guide them through memorable tasting experiences. Key Responsibilities Welcome guests and provide warm, professional service Lead wine tastings and explain flavor profiles, regions, and production methods Pour wine tastings and by-the-glass service following responsible alcohol service guidelines Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, glassware, and tasting areas Assist customers with wine purchases, gifts, and special orders Operate POS system and accurately process transactions Restock wine inventory, retail shelves, and bar supplies Promote wine club memberships, special events, and current promotions Assist with setup and breakdown of events and private tastings Wine Knowledge & Education Maintain knowledge of wine varietals, regions, and tasting techniques Participate in training and ongoing wine education opportunities Communicate wine stories in an engaging and approachable manner

Qualifications Required:

Previous experience in hospitality, bartending, retail, or tasting rooms Excellent customer service and communication skills Must be of legal age to serve alcohol Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40-50 lbs
