Join the Martha's Catering Event Team as a Freelance Banquet Server or Freelance Banquet Bartender! Are you passionate about providing outstanding hospitality and enjoy working in a dynamic, event-focused environment? Martha's Catering is seeking Banquet Servers and Banquet Bartenders to join our team as 1099 Independent Contractors. As a Freelance Banquet Server or Freelance Banquet Bartender, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our events run smoothly and deliver unforgettable experiences for our guests.

What You'll Do:

As a Freelance Banquet Server , you will:

• Set up banquet areas with place settings, linens, and décor before events.
• Serve food and beverages to guests promptly, ensuring high levels of service and professionalism.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide a positive dining experience.
• Assist with post-event cleanup, ensuring all areas are clean and organized. As a Freelance Banquet Bartender , you will:
• Prepare and serve beverages with accuracy, including mixed drinks, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options.
• Set up and break down the bar area, ensuring it is well-stocked and organized throughout the event.
• Engage with guests courteously and maintain a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Follow all safety and alcohol service guidelines to provide a safe, enjoyable experience for guests.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience:

  Prior experience as a banquet server or bartender is preferred.

• Customer Service:

  Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and attentive attitude towards guests.

• Professionalism:

  Ability to maintain a high standard of appearance, conduct, and communication.
• Attention to

Detail:

Ability to follow event-specific instructions and execute them efficiently.

• Flexibility:

  Availability to work varying shifts, including events, weekends, and holidays, as events demand.
• Licensing (Banquet Bartenders only): TIPS or similar alcohol service certification, preferred.
• Must be at least 20 years old to serve alcohol.

Valid Drivers License:

Ability to drive a catering van / small box truck to the event requires a valid driver's license.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Requires the use of hands for reaching, touching, or handling and fine finger movements.
• Requires the ability to push, pull, maneuver, or lift objects up 20 lbs.
• Requires the ability to bend, kneel, squat, stoop, walk, and stand for duration of shift.
• Work is performed in a variety of event and banquet locations with moderate noise to loud level.
• Potential for frequent exposure to wet, slippery, or damp conditions (bar).
