The City of Kentwood is seeking Event Bartenders to support our Parks & Recreation Department and help deliver high-quality beverage service at a variety of community events and facility rentals. In this role, you'll create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for guests while ensuring responsible alcohol service and smooth event operations. This is a part-time position, with a flexible schedule that varies based on events, including evenings and weekends. What You'll Do Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established standards Verify guest age and ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and regulations Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service Set up and break down bar areas, including stocking supplies and preparing garnishes Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas, equipment, and supplies Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption to ensure a safe environment Accurately handle transactions and maintain basic sales and inventory records Communicate effectively with event staff, supervisors, and security Follow all safety, sanitation, and health guidelines Assist with inventory, restocking, and reporting supply needs Every event you work helps create a safe, fun, and memorable experience for our community!
