Bartender

Job Overview:

Corktown Pizza Co. is looking for an energetic and personable Bartender to join our team. The Bartender will be responsible for creating memorable guest experiences by preparing and serving drinks, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked bar. You'll be a crucial part of our restaurant, providing a welcoming and fun environment for customers to enjoy our handcrafted pizzas and signature drinks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company recipes and standards.
• Offer drink recommendations to guests based on their preferences and menu pairings.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar, including liquor, garnishes, glassware, and other bar supplies.
• Adhere to all state and local laws regarding alcohol service, including checking ID to verify legal drinking age.
• Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner, making them feel welcome.
• Handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods efficiently while accurately processing orders.
• Monitor and manage bar inventory, reordering supplies as necessary and alerting management to any shortages.
• Ensure drink preparation and presentation meet quality and aesthetic standards.
• Follow proper safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures at all times.
• Assist with opening and closing bar duties, including restocking, cleaning, and setting up for the next shift.
• Collaborate with kitchen and serving staff to provide seamless customer service.
• Resolve customer complaints or concerns in a positive and efficient manner.
• Promote a fun and inviting atmosphere while maintaining professionalism.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications (ServSafe Alcohol) are a plus.
• Proven bartending experience in a busy restaurant or bar environment.
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, wine, and craft beverages.
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure during high-volume service.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring consistency and quality in every drink.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol (as per local laws).
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
