The St. Joseph River Yacht Club (SJRYC) is a private club nestled on the scenic shores of the St. Joseph River, offering a welcoming atmosphere for members to gather, dine, and celebrate life on the water. With a strong tradition of camaraderie and service, our club hosts a variety of social events, regattas, and family-friendly activities year-round.

Position Summary:

We are looking for an energetic, personable, and experienced Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate has a passion for hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys creating a warm and friendly experience for club members and their guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with club recipes and service standards Provide attentive, friendly, and timely service to members and guests Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, equipment, and supplies Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies as needed Monitor and comply with all alcohol service regulations and club policies Maintain accurate tabs and handle point-of-sale transactions Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure seamless service Participate in special events, theme nights, and club functions as needed Promote a safe and respectful environment for all patrons and staff

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of bartending or hospitality experience preferred Must be 21 years of age or older Knowledge of drink recipes, bar equipment, and safety procedures Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong multitasking and organizational abilities Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Certification in alcohol service (TIPS or equivalent) is a plus
