Bartender South Haven, MI 49090 From $8 an hour - Part-time From $8 an hour - Part-time Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Bartender/Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment, ensuring guests have a memorable experience. This role involves mixing drinks, serving food, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere across various settings including fine dining establishments, nightclubs, and banquet events. Prior experience in food and beverage service, along with strong communication skills, is essential to succeed in this position. Duties Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS. Take food and drink orders accurately while providing attentive customer service. Serve food and beverages efficiently at tables, bars, or event venues, including catering and banquet settings. Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures. Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards according to health regulations. Manage multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously with effective time management skills. Assist with setup and breakdown of events such as banquets or private parties. Engage with guests to promote sales of specials or additional menu items while ensuring a positive experience. Follow all food safety protocols related to food handling and beverage preparation. Uphold the standards of hospitality by creating a welcoming environment for all guests. Skills Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously. Experience in fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet environments is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
