- Responsible for interacting with our Guests and ensuring they have a wonderful dining experience.
- Responsible for positive Guest interactions while serving them in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.
- Assumes 100% responsibility for quality Guests' experience.
- Informs Guests of specials and menu changes.
- Confidently knows alcoholic beverage menu and is able to articulate to Guests.
- Up-selling is a mandatory requirement.
- Offers specific beverage, appetizer, entrée, and dessert recommendations upon request or suggestions based on what you think your Guests will enjoy.
- Ensure assigned sections is in impeccable condition for seating of Guests during entirety of shift.
- Confidently and accurately answer questions about our food, beverages, and other restaurant information.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders from Guests and enter into point-of-sale system in a timely manner.
- Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to Guests in a timely matter.
- Perform and complete assigned side work during each shift.
- Complete opening and closing checklists.
- Maintain, clean, and stock service and dining areas as needed during entirety of shift.
- Monitor and observe Guests' dining experience. Ensure Guests are satisfied with the food and service.
- Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
- Provide intuitive "silent service".
- Responsible for pre-bussing, clearing, cleaning, and setting tables/sections for seating of Guests.
- Prepare final bill, present check to Guest, accept payment, and process through the point-of-sale system.
- Be ready and willing to assist fellow service team members before and when they ask.
- Thank Guests for their visit and invite them to return.
- Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
- Notify manager-on-duty any time a Guest is not 100% satisfied with their experience.
- Work efficiently and calmly under high pressure and high volume situations.
- Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
Qualifications, Experience and Education:
- Previous server experience in restaurant or hospitality required.
- Previous bartending experience in restaurant or hospitality required.
- Must have experience working in a team environment.
- Must have a High School diploma or GED.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Must be 18 years of age or older as required by state law to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Must have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Must have food handler's card and alcohol awareness training certification where required by state and local laws.
