Full Job Description Job Summary:

Bartenders will greet guests, explain menu items, take orders, and serve both food and drinks. Bartenders are expected to be knowledgeable about food and drink menu items including standard non-menu bar drinks. Bartenders are responsible for keeping the bar and the dining area clean, organized, and ready for customers. Bartenders must help co-workers to improve workflow and customer service.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Greet guests, present menus, answer customer questions, and take accurate orders.
• Serve multiple guests at the bar in addition to making drinks for dining room guests.
• Have complete knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
• Responsible for stocking the service area with supplies, cleaning equipment, and operating bar equipment as assigned.
• Ensures compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
• Ensures compliance with alcoholic beverage regulations.
• Uses a POS to ring in orders, take payment, and make change.
• Ensures a consistent, efficient, pleasant customer experience; resolves any customer service issues, complaints, or requests.
• Continually seeks and identifies methods to increase sales and profitability; making recommendations as appropriate.
• Assists in ensuring physical maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of the facility.
• Report unsafe work conditions.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of cocktail recipes and brands served.
• Knowledge of food handling, safety, and other restaurant guidelines.
• Proficient in computer applications.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.

Education and Experience:

• At least 1 year experience in bartending or serving.
• HS Diploma or GED.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at times.
• Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the facility.

Other:

• While performing the job, employees are exposed to cooking fumes and may handle caustic chemicals. Conditions may include heat, cold, wet, humid, and noise.
• Must be able to reach, stand, bend, twist, stoop, push and pull repeatedly.
