Voted one of the best restaurants in the area by Eater Twin Cities, Alto Pino highlights local and ethically sourced ingredients through a Mediterranean lens. We strive for an accessible, non-intimidating atmosphere with rustic, fine-dining touches. We are looking for people who are excited about providing exceptional service by anticipating guest needs, paying attention to every detail and knowing their stuff. We are open for dinner service Wednesday through Sunday starting at 5:00 pm. Ideally, this person would work Thursdays and Sundays and be able to fill in on weekends as needed; however there is some flexibility. FOH:

bartender, server, host, food runner. This is a small work environment, so you must be willing and able to be flexible and fill whatever role is needed in the moment. We take care of each other, and we all wear many hats. If you like variety this is the right job for you!

Essential Job Duties:

• Greet and seat guests, noting any special requirements/occasions and communicating to your teammates as needed
• Describe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests
• Offer interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item's origin, taste, and preparation methods
• Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen
• Expertly coordinate food timing between courses
• Anticipate guest needs to ascertain satisfaction and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
• Properly process payments
• Make drinks with high quality and efficiency
• Follow drink recipes consistently
• Follow opening and closing checklists for assigned station/area
• Keep a clean and tidy space

Requirements:

• Experience in bartending and serving
• Detail oriented
• Positive/collaborative attitude with strong communication skills
• Solid understanding of wines and pairings
• Ability to act proactively
• Strong work ethic and ability to work as a team
• Professional demeanor, polished appearance with the ability to exceed guest's expectations
• Ability to move efficiently, multi-task and work under pressure
• Willing/able to pick up dish shifts on rare occasions
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs; Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time and climb steps regularly.
• Ability to physically maneuver through work areas; bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment

Preferences:

• Knowledge of/experience in world cuisines, specifically in Mediterranean.
• Fine dining/upscale service Pay based on duties performed each shift.

Serving shifts are $12/hour plus tips, bartending/utility shifts are $15/hour plus tips.
