Job Description

Server/Bartender Position Summary The Server and Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality by delivering knowledgeable, attentive, and personalized service to every guest. Servers and Bartenders play an integral role in creating memorable dining experiences while working collaboratively with the front and back of house teams to ensure seamless execution. This is a part-time or full-time, hourly position with flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in representing a chef-driven restaurant. Server & Bartender Cross-Training Requirement All Servers and Bartenders are expected to be cross-trained and fully capable of working in both positions. Team members will not be scheduled to serve and bartend during the same shift; however, they will be required to complete training for both roles and may be scheduled as either a Server or Bartender based on the needs of the restaurant. This cross-training allows our team to remain flexible, support one another, and provide a consistent level of hospitality throughout the restaurant. Team members are expected to maintain the knowledge, skills, and service standards required for both positions. Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience Deliver exceptional, knowledgeable, and attentive service throughout the dining experience Guide guests through food, beverage, and wine selections with confidence and enthusiasm Anticipate guest needs while creating genuine, memorable interactions Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally, involving management when appropriate Build relationships with regular guests and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere Service Execution Complete all opening, running, and closing side work accurately and efficiently Maintain a thorough knowledge of seasonal menus, daily features, beverages, and allergens Ensure accurate order entry and timely communication with the kitchen and bar Monitor tables throughout service to maintain the highest standards of hospitality Process guest payments accurately while following cash handling procedures Operations Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, and workspaces Follow all restaurant service standards and operating procedures Collaborate with hosts, bartenders, food runners, bussers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations Support teammates during busy service periods and contribute to an efficient team environment Comply with all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations Team & Culture Represent the restaurant with professionalism, integrity, and a positive attitude Participate in pre-shift meetings, training sessions, and ongoing education Demonstrate a commitment to teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement Help maintain a positive culture where both guests and team members feel valued Qualifications 2 years of previous serving or bartending experience in a full-service restaurant Passion for chef-driven cuisine and elevated hospitality Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively with both front and back of house teams Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Food safety and alcohol service certifications, or the ability to obtain them Experience with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems preferred
