The Barback plays a crucial role in supporting bartenders and maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for our patrons. As a Barback, you will be responsible for aiding the bartenders and enforcing venue policies. Your presence will ensure that the bar operates smoothly and will help deter potential safety issues when necessary. Duties Assist bartenders by restocking supplies, including liquor, beer, wine, and garnishes. Maintain draft beer system, change keg beer taps, keg removal and orgainazation. Assist bartenders with customer food delivery. Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glassware, cleaning surfaces and trash removal. Communicate with team members to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Uphold venue policies regarding age restrictions, intoxication levels, and guest conduct. Respond promptly to any incidents or disturbances to de-escalate situations. Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, ensuring effective communication during incidents. Qualifications Previous experience in the bar industry is preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff and customers. Excellent observational skills with attention to detail to identify potential issues before they escalate. Conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required by the venue's schedule.
