Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The bartender is responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing exceptional guest service, maintaining a well-stocked clean and organized bar. The role requires strong mixology skills, efficiency in a fast -paced environment, and the ability to engage with guests while upholding service and safety standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest preferences. Engage with guests, take orders and provide recommendations based on taste preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and sanitizing surfaces. Manage inventory by restocking supplies, monitoring ingredient levels, and reducing waste. Process payments accurately and efficiently using POS system. Follow alcohol service regulations and company policies to ensure responsible service. Collaborate with servers, barbacks and management to ensure smooth operations. Create a welcoming and energetic atmosphere while maintaining professionalism.

High School Diploma or Equivalent Certificate(s) or License(s): None Years of experience: 0
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and classic & modern cocktails. Understanding of garnishes, glassware and drink presentations. Strong customer service & hospitality to engage with guests, take orders efficiently, and provide recommendations Multitasking and time management to handle multiple orders, guest's interactions and bar maintenance simultaneously Problem solving, quickly addressing customer concerns, drink modifications or inventory shortages. Work in a fast-paced environment and stay efficiently composed during busy periods. Communication & teamwork to coordinate with servers, barbacks, and management to ensure a smooth service. Responsible alcohol service and being able to recognize signs of intoxication and adhering to safe serving guidelines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Regularly stands. Occasionally walks, and does POS computer work, and lifts up to 50 lbs. Seldom/Never sits.
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT
: Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
