We've been serving South City for almost two years now, and we're proud to have become a go-to hangout for friends, families, and late-night pizza lovers. Our namesake, Bud Bartels, loved trains—you'll see little nods to him and that passion throughout the place, from the décor to the details that make Bud's feel like home. We're looking for a Bartender who brings strong skills and genuine hospitality to every shift. This person should be able to keep a bar running on a Saturday night, remember a regular's drink order, and have a solid repertoire of cocktail knowledge. We're also looking for someone with a strong teamwork mentality. "That's not my job" isn't in our vocabulary, and we all jump in where needed.
Job Duties:
Craft cocktails, pour beer, and keep drinks flowing with speed and precision Provide warm, genuine hospitality to every guest Communicate effectively with the team to ensure smooth and timely service flow. Keep the bar area sanitary, stocked, and organized Work closely with FOH and BOH teams to keep service running smoothly, pitching in with bar back duties as needed Handle cash and POS transactions accurately
Qualifications:
21+ years of age Bartending experience in a similar role is preferred Strong cocktail knowledge Great communication and teamwork skills Cool head under pressure and a knack for multitasking Must have flexible availability to work weekends and occasional holidays Ability to safely navigate the restaurant, which may include indoor and outdoor spaces, varying temperature, stairs, uneven surfaces, etc. Ability to be on your feet, moving, bending, twisting, and hustling for most of your shift Ability to lift up to 50lbs (kegs, cases, and the occasional awkward stack of chairs) Manual dexterity to safely handle bottles, glassware, and other prep tools Ability to work in low-light and high-noise environments
